Ready for the Advents?

If you noticed the “headline” on the website about three weeks left until Christmas or perhaps the Lord’s return, isn’t that something to contemplate?   We do tend to get in a scurry as Christmas approaches (and seemingly faster each year) to get everything ready: gifts, food preparation and planning, perhaps travel plans, decorating and such and that “certainty” of Christmas arriving each year has us revved up to do what needs to be done before all the celebration begins.

It’s a fitting analogy but even moreso when it comes to the rapture !  When the Lord came the first time it was a glorious happening for our world, and many did not even realize it.  When the Lord comes this second time it will also be grand and trigger events in our world leading to some incredibly fantastic things in the end.  Many more will be aware of this return (us who are saved will certainly be aware as we gaze at our glorified bodies for the first time and see Him face to face ~ “For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body , that it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body. . . ” (Phil.3:20-21) and with the  exodus of the Church one wonders if the Anti-Christ and Satan will be able to dupe as many as we think about such a vast number of folks disappearing!

Nonetheless, it is always vital we keep in our minds that FACT that at any moment the Lord could call us home, as Paul wrote, “with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God…” (1Thess.4:16) and if we are keeping His return in mind it will succeed in doing for you just what John predicted, “And every man that has this hope in him purifies himself, even as He is pure” (1Jn.3:3) !!    Sadly, kids often strive to behave better near Christmas to make sure they get what they want as to gifts and parents use it as leverage to assist in their parenting.  Both are less than pure motives but the motive that Christ may return today is a great one for us to live for Him Who loves you so !   So, yes, Christmas is “right around the corner”, so may be the second return of Jesus !!!
