Where are you?

Ever throw a stone in water and watch the ripples? I am curious after having written these blogs now since July how far reaching they are in such a short time. How many states and countries is the Word through a simple blog affecting?  So would you do me a favor and let us together run a little experiment? Would you drop a simple comment after you read this and let me know where you are?   My friend Mike and I were chatting the other night and some of you know that he’s in Hawaii. Hi Mike, thanks for the reads, ha !   But as we chatted I began to think about this,  I’m also reminded in Scripture of a great truth:  That we all are making some type of impact in this old world and hopefully it is for Christ !  You DO reap what you so (Gal.6:7).

One of the more encouraging and challenging greetings in Paul’s epistles has got to be how this was amply illustrated in both Paul and his Thessalonian brethren: “And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the Word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost: so that ye were ensamples to ALL that believe in Macedonia and Achaia for from you sounded out the Word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad, so that we need not speak any thing.” !!!  (1Thess.1:6-8).  Wow, what an impact was made simply because people heard and heeded the Bible !!   Did you catch that for them receiving the Word wasn’t as simple as flipping open a Bible or reading it on a computer? It was with MUCH AFFLICTION ! Yet they were happy to receive it.  And having done so they were impacted so that, like Paul before them, they changed for the better and were now examples to people where they lived ! Not just some people either but ALL they came in contact with in their respective provinces !   And they couldn’t keep silent they SOUNDED out the Word everywhere they went – now thats making a mark for God !

In fact, they made such a dent in their world that when Paul came to those places he could move on to other areas untapped by the gospel as his friends had done the job already !   No letting the pastor tell my dying uncle or struggling neighbor for these were actively obeying the Great Commission. And as fearful as witnessing can be to us sometimes, they were relying on the Holy Spirit for the needed boldness. Since they’d been impacted by Paul’s transmissions of the Word to them (first century blogging on scrolls, ha), they truly did something with it and perpetuated the impact upon any and every one who would listen around them !!  So my friend, where are you?  It’d be great to know geographically, it’d be even better to know that you are your area’s “Thessalonian” too !!  So let me know, if you would, what kind of impact the Word through the blogs has had and encourage our folks who have sacrificed to get this website going.  That’s how OUR world will be impacted for God as we encourage each other with the truths of Scripture !
